BWT Bestprotect 2XL

BWT bestprotect 2XL is the largest filter cartridge of the bestprotect range. It is intended for machines with high water consumption, for example multi-group espresso machines in catering. Like all bestprotect cartridges, it can prevent the formation of limescale and gypsum and keeps the pH value consistently high.

BWT bestprotect thus protects the machine technology from deposits and can help prevent corrosion problems on stainless steel parts. In addition, the filter system supplies water of high sensory quality for premium hot beverages.

The filter cartridge is a wear part and is replaced regularly. How long it lasts depends on the water hardness, the bypass setting and the amount of water. With the BWT Aquameter you can see how much water has already flowed through the filter. To operate it you need a BWT besthead FLEX filter head.

Capacity of the BWT Bestprotect 2XL:

According to BWT, the values apply to the preparation of hot beverages with steam generation, without bypass. Depending on water quality and flow rate, they can deviate by up to ± 5 %. BWT recommends replacing the filter cartridge regularly after 6 months, but no later than after 12 months or when the capacity has been reached.

Tip: With the BWT Aquameter (FS00Y03A00) you can keep an eye on the capacity. The flow meter records how much water has flowed through the filter and shows the remaining capacity. This way you can see in good time when the filter cartridge should be replaced.
