BWT Bestprotect water filter set

I regularly receive machines that are completely clogged with limescale. These machines were run with water from table water filters or with descaling pads in the tank – in the belief that this was doing the machine some good. Unfortunately, this isn't enough. Table water filters or descaling pads can only reduce the water hardness to the required level for a short time.

Personally, I would advise against these methods and instead recommend either using suitable bottled water or a water filter for your water supply. There are two options here:

1. Direct connection to the machine – If the machine is connected to the mains water supply, the water filter can be installed directly in front of it.

2. Installation in the cold water area of the faucet – In this case, the water is already filtered when cold water is drawn.

This ensures more reliable water quality and prevents excessive calcification of the machine.

Note: Flexible hoses are not included. To connect the filter to the water supply, a 3/8-inch flexible hose of the appropriate length is required (available at hardware stores). The faucet or espresso machine can be connected directly to the filter's 3/8-inch outlet.
