La Marzocco Linea Micra plumbing kit (1039)

With this original La Marzocco plumb-in kit, you connect your Linea Micra directly to the water supply and the drain. The machine then draws its water straight from the mains, and the drip tray drains into the waste water through a hose. So you no longer need to refill the water tank or empty the drip tray.

The kit is intended for the Linea Micra.

Scope of delivery:

• 2 m drain hose
• Connection set for the drip tray
• 1.5 m water supply hose
• Check valve and fittings for the connection at the pump
• Pipe for the water path inside the machine
• Rubber feet

Instead of the rubber feet from the kit, you can also use my stainless steel feet. They are available in various heights and finishes, for example polished or powder-coated: 25 mm, 35 mm and 50 mm high. Some Linea Micra have an M4 thread on the frame instead of M6. For this case, reducing sleeves are included with the feet. How to fit them is shown in the Fitting instructions (PDF).

For the connection you need a water connection with a shut-off valve and a drain near the machine. A pressure reducer is usually not required. If your water pressure is very high, I can offer you a pressure reducer from BWT – just get in touch.

Water filter: Whether a water filter is needed in front of the machine depends on the hardness of your water. In regions with soft water one is often not necessary. With hard water I recommend a filter so that as little limescale as possible builds up in the machine, for example the BWT Bestprotect water filter set. You can find out your water hardness from your local water supplier.

If you later want to run the machine with the water tank again, the kit can be removed.

Installation: Installation should be carried out by someone with experience on espresso machines. I am happy to install the kit in my workshop in 82538 Geretsried by appointment.
