The La Marzocco Jay is the next logical step in La Marzocco's grinder portfolio. With its disc burr mechanism, it's an ideal complement to the Swan and an alternative to the Pico.
The Jay is designed for easy and precise grinding. It features a unique design with a magnetic grinder holder. This provides a larger grinding surface, faster and more consistent grinding, and significantly simplified cleaning.
Combined with an intuitive user interface for easy programming and operation, a patented grinder alignment system, and intelligent connectivity for accurate weight grinding, the Jay delivers consistently high quality with every grind.
The Jay allows grind-by-weight in conjunction with the La Marzocco cocnected scales (Y.301) and the La Marzocco app.
Magnetic grinder holder
The grinder holder is magnetically attached and can be easily removed for cleaning. It also protects the grinder from foreign objects such as small stones.
Thanks to easy access to the grinding chamber, the grinder can be cleaned much faster than before – without tools and without effort.
Precise grinding
The 68 mm flat burrs feature an uninterrupted cutting surface for fast and precise grinding. Combined with the patented burr alignment system, which ensures the burrs are perfectly parallel when changing burrs, the Jay delivers exceptional accuracy and consistency with every grind.
Easy to use
The core idea behind the development of the Jay grinder was to make it particularly easy to use and program. By pressing all buttons simultaneously, the dosage can be adjusted quickly and intuitively. Illuminated symbols guide you through the entire process. Thanks to the portafilter activation of the grinding function, the grinding process can be started by simply pushing forward.
Fast grinding
The Jay grinder has been carefully designed to ensure fast, efficient, and consistent grinding. A typical 18-gram dose is ground in less than five seconds.
Easy cleaning
Thanks to the clever design of the funnel and the easily removable, magnetically attached grinder holder, the Jay grinder can be quickly and easily disassembled to allow uncomplicated access to the grinding chamber.
Automatically closing coffee bean container
The coffee bean hopper closes automatically when removed, preventing accidental coffee spills when changing or cleaning. Simply rotate the entire hopper to close the chute and remove it.
grind-by-weight ready
The Jay grinder connects to the La Marzocco app to access settings, statistics, and the grind-by-weight feature.
This function uses the separately available scale (La Marzocco Connected Scale (Y.301)), which is coupled to the grinder. A special holder, which can be easily removed for cleaning or charging, ensures secure positioning of the portafilter.
The set dosages are saved, so no new settings need to be made after removing and recharging the scale. This ensures an uninterrupted workflow.
