Finally there is positive news about the needle valve kit for the Linea Micra! After many weeks, my Linea Micra is now equipped with a fully functioning needle valve mod! Like my Linea Mini Mod, it is operated via the paddle. This means you can switch between PI with a set flow rate and extraction with pump pressure and flow.
As already mentioned in the other article, in addition to the limited installation space, the challenge was to develop a system that was easy to assemble. In my opinion, I succeeded in doing this very well. Yesterday, with the machine open, I was able to fully install and adjust the kit within 20 minutes.
My “favorite problem” when developing the kit was the mechanism for the paddle. To date, 16 prototypes have been built and many other modifications have been designed in CAD.
I will test the machine extensively over the next two weekends. Fittingly, there are two family celebrations coming up. There the machine can prove itself with the conversion. At the same time, I will set up the corresponding installation instructions with pictures and renderings so that the first kits can be sent out in March after the test phase has been successfully completed.
PS: During the development of the kit, the metal sheets and housing parts of my machine were always in the closet, which is why I took advantage of the time and powder-coated some of them. Pictures will follow as soon as my machine is complete again.
